Statistics indicate that most folks realize that they need to manage their finances, but most of those that believe as such admit they don’t exactly do as they preach! So what’s the problem? Bellow is a list of some of the most common reasons why some folks avoid financial planning:

  1. They don’t believe their math and finance skills are good enough.
  2. Fear of making mistakes and failing
  3. They just expect someone else will pick up the slack and do it.
  4. Some folks just aren’t really interested in controlling their finances.
  5. Folks don’t know who to trust with these sorts of issues.
  6. Life has a way of suckin’ up all my time!
  7. Some say that all that accounting mumbo jumbo is just to complex to really know where to start with it all!

If this sounds like some of the reasons why you haven’t started budgeting or taking to the time to do so, you are NOT alone! There are literally thousands that are in the same shoes as yourself. In some case I’ve seen teengers that find themselves in debt get out of debt simply by getting another job and really sticking to a budget. Imagine what it can do with you!!
